About Meg
Born and raised in the small town of Washingtonville, New York, Meg was introduced to the game of softball at just four years old—and it quickly became a lifelong passion. What began as a simple love for the sport grew into a powerful avenue through which God shaped her character, perseverance, and purpose. Inspired by her father’s career as a third baseman for the Minor League Denver Bears, Meg’s love for the game was nurtured by both her family and a supportive community that encouraged her growth on and off the field.
Meg went on to become a four-year varsity starter in high school, serving as captain her senior year and earning the Coaches Award for her leadership and dedication. As the starting catcher for the Lady Mustangs travel team, her commitment carried her to the collegiate level, where she competed for two years at SUNY Orange (NJCAA DII). She concluded her collegiate career with a .306 batting average and an .991 fielding percentage, ranking 124th in the nation. Afterward, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism-Communication with a minor in Leadership at Buffalo State University in 2017.
Though her playing career ended, Meg felt God calling her to stay connected to the game she loves. For over a decade, she has poured into the next generation as a coach—serving in recreational leagues, as an Assistant Coach, and now as Head Coach of the 16U Rapid Fire travel program. She also leads off-season clinics and provides private catching lessons. For Meg, coaching is more than teaching skills; it has become a ministry, giving her the opportunity to mentor athletes in character, confidence, and faith.
In 2022, Meg earned her Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She pursued this degree with a clear calling: to serve student-athletes holistically—helping them grow not only in their sport and academics but also in their walk with Christ. Today, through the ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Meg lives out that mission by sharing the hope of the gospel, building Christ-centered relationships, and encouraging athletes and coaches to compete for a higher purpose.
“My heart is for athletes and coaches to see the bigger picture—that their identity isn’t defined by wins, losses, or statistics, but by who they are in Christ. My greatest joy is walking alongside them, helping them grow in their faith, and making disciples who use their gifts to glorify Him both on the field and beyond,” says Michel.
When Meg is not surrounded by the game she loves, she finds joy in fellowship, fitness, and the outdoors, living out her faith in every moment. She strives to be the salt & light of the world (Matthew 5:13–16)—encouraging others, radiating hope and light, and letting God’s love guide everything she does.
All Glory to Him!

About Mike
Mike was raised in the Dutchess County area of the Hudson Valley and grew up playing Baseball, Basketball and Football in the Wappingers and Fishkill area.
Passionate about sports and competition, what Mike lacked in overall size and athleticism he quickly learned could be made up for in heart, toughness and work ethic. As Mike’s High School football coach instructed him “it doesn’t matter if you’re undersized, don’t let anybody work harder than you and be tough.” It was an important lesson Mike would carry on with him for the rest of his life.
The underdog mentality even carried over to the lovable losing teams Mike passionately roots for in the NY Mets, Jets and Nets!
In High School Mikey played Football, Boxed locally and prepared himself for a career of service in Law Enforcement.
Mike graduated from SUNY Albany in 2004 earning a bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice.
Mike has been serving the Hudson Valley as a Law Enforcement Officer for over twenty years and has been a part of some highly trained and specialized units. A career of service has taught Mike invaluable lessons on leadership, teamwork and showed incredible mountaintops and some painful valleys.
Growing up Catholic, playing and coaching CYO basketball, faith was always a part of Mike’s life but never a priority, until a few years ago when the call of the Lord Jesus Christ was impossible to ignore.
Now, Mike trains in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is passionate about teaching and leading his family, friends, coworkers and anyone who will listen into a life of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ and believes sports is the perfect way to connect with people.
As Christian’s if we aren’t about the Great Commission what are we really about? Matthew 28:19 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always until the end of the age.”
